RAPU-RAPU MINERALS INC. (RRMI), the first productive firm under the 1995 Mining Act, operates the 26-hectare Ungay-Malobago open pit mine at an annual production rate of one million metric tonnes of ore. The company is Filipino-majority owned.
RAPU_RAPU PROCESSING INC. (RRPI), the first and only zinc processing plant in the Philippines, operates at an annual production rate of 36,000 tonnes of copper concentrate and 26,000 tonnes of zinc concentrate. The firm is wholly owned by KMP Resources, Inc., a joint venture between majority shareholder Philco (composed of LG International and Korea Resources Corporation) and Malaysia Smelting Corporation, Berhad.
